About Faso Sanu

Faso Sanu is a non-profit empowering young Malians through quality education, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Our mission is to equip young Malians with the tools to succeed in their journeys and create innovative solutions for the betterment of their communities. We envision a society where youth have equal opportunities, leading to a better quality of life and active roles in shaping their nation's future.

Our Programs

We currently have three core programs

Neba Scholars

The first program supports youth in rural Mali through the Neba Scholars Program, accompanying students from the DEF exam through university. It combines paid tutoring, mentorship from diaspora youth and Malian leaders, monthly webinars, and support for school fees and materials. The program focuses on high-performing students from Selingué, Kita, and Djenné, intentionally prioritizing communities beyond Bamako to better support their ambitions.

Jigiya

The second program engages diaspora youth through monthly webinars as part of the Faso Sanu Impact Network. Participants from Mali, Senegal, and Burkina Faso explore opportunities and innovation in the Sahel while reconnecting with their roots. They share knowledge, strengthen the community, and support the Neba Scholars Program through mentorship, advocacy, and contributions, including employee matching programs.

Yiriwaa

Our final core program is Yiriwaa, a talent and operations pathway that trains staff as the #1 virtual assistance training program for busy francophone Executives. This program supports youth and early-career professionals—especially women who are multilingual and have lost their jobs in Senegal and Mali’s NGO sector — by connecting them to meaningful paid online work and professional development through upskilling in the digital sphere, and by supporting their long-term career trajectories. After serving as an EA trained by us, we aim to support the talent in supporting businesses now that they are upskilled, aware of global organizational nuances, and well-positioned for global opportunities.  Together, Faso Sanu and Yiriwaa, her subsidiary, combine community building with economic empowerment in a way that is scalable and measurable, while remaining deeply human. Youth Engagement

We engage youth in Senegal and the Sahel through proximity-driven, community-rooted programs that build trust, confidence, and leadership, enabling them to take active roles in shaping their futures.

Bridge Building

We connect diaspora and local communities through multilingual, culturally grounded convening—facilitating access to resources, networks, and opportunities that strengthen collective growth.

Economic Empowerment

Through Yiriwaa, we create pathways to dignified work by professionalizing opportunities for youth and women, and linking social capital to real economic outcomes.
